- Perfect attendance record at all Fore River Bridge Replacement Project meetings.
- Worked to drive North Weymouth residents to various MassDOT & civic organizational meetings on the bridge through automated phone calls completed not at taxpayer expense.
- Authored and secured passage of resolution adopted unanimously by Town Council urging a bascule style bridge as desired alternative over Fore River for public comment on EA report.
- Worked with Fort Point Road residents to receive FEMA & MEMA assistance after major snowstorms and worked with mayor’s office to address citizen concerns (ongoing).
- Instrumental in securing $10K in funding for a historical study in North Weymouth, to benefit the 3A section of town through tourism-based economic growth.
- Aided in initiation of North Weymouth Business group to address economic concerns about Route 3A.
- Put forward a North Weymouth Revitalization Plan to take a critical, strategic look at how to clean up Route 3A and implement incentives for area businesses to clean up their act (ongoing/in conjunction with FRBRP).
- Worked with the administration to identify distressed roadways, previously neglected for decades and prioritized them for repaving and maintenance.
- Secured traffic signs in critical areas adjacent to schools for public safety.
- Vocally fought against hefty tax increases that would have further burdened residents.
- Collaborating with the North Weymouth Civic Association to modernize and grow their organization and membership with an eye towards involving a new generation of North Weymouth residents.
- Working with law enforcement officials to ensure sex offenders comply with the town’s sex offender ordinance and that parents feel their children are safe in our community. (Story HERE)
